We can all see the picture. Kitty leaves the house ready to start his night time prowl. Cat's being the creatures of habit that they are, there's a pre-set route. Along the way he has made it a habit to endear himself to few neighbors who have no idea that they are just a means to an end.....
The end?...... Well cat's have two things in mind.... Survival and comfort! So from a survival standpoint you see it makes perfect sense to have several supplimentary feeding stations.
I think we need to learn similar tricks with the word of God. I think we starve ourselves of the joy of regularly 'consuming' the word of God. Going back to some discussions from earlier bloggs, we need to make it as easy possible to get our daily dose of the word.
Then for comfort, cat's just find that it helps to have a number of places they can go for shelter and a tickle if they feel the need for love. Most owners are away during the day so it helps to have a place to go for attention.
It can be so hard for us to experience God's love on a daily basis, because God can't wrap his arms around us. That's where the ministry of the Holy Spirit comes in. He not only brings the word to life in us, he becomes our comforter in times of need.
