Curiosity and the cat

Curiosity and the cat

If you have one, a cat that is, it doesn't take you long to figure out where the saying “curiosity killed the cat” actually comes from. The other night I was busy fiddling with the plugs at the back of my bed and I had pulled out the base to get to the plug itself, when before I knew it, Topaz had wiggled her way in under the base.

Now this is particularly troublesome because I have a futon base which is really low. It didn't take long before 'poepsiewinkles' was stuck and couldn't get out, although it did take me a few minutes to figure it out. In the end I had to push the mattress off far enough to see where she was, lift the base and let her crawl all the way through. Tough job that was!

How often in life don't we get stuck simply because we gave no thought to our actions whatsoever, nor thought to check if we should actually be going down that road anyhow? Word to the wise ....next time you get tempted to crawl in where you shouldn't go...ask God for wisdom and take some time to listen for an answer and think things through.
