Commit - make the connection

I'm definitely no electrician, but I do remember the basics of electronics we learnt in primary school. To build an electic circuit, you need: a power source, conductive wire, the appliance and a switch.

Many of us recognize God as our power source. So why the negative terminal? Romans 8 tells us that he works all things for the good of those who love the Lord and walk according to his purposes. So he takes all our bad experiences and tranforms them by his spirit to bring something positive out of the situation.

We are the conductive wire. The vessels God uses in the earth to fulfill his plans. We have to be connected to the power source for his power to flow through us.

The appliance is the object or desire for which we are standing in faith. We put all our energy into making this appliance work. We have the power source, the conductive wire, but why won't this appliance work..... The switch is missing.

When the switch is in the off position, the conductive wire has been seperated thus stopping the flow of electricity. When the swith is in the on position, all the conductive wires are connected and power can flow through the circuit making the appliance work.

So what's the switch? Commitment! Many of us wonder why things don't work in our lives. We simply haven't made the commitment to the process to allow God's power to flow. We can only have a break through once we are committed!
