So where did you put that shovel?

Archiologists study for many years to learn about history. They will spend much time researching an area before they will commence an excavation.

The interesting part for me is that they will also train to learn how to correctly process dirt..... process dirt? Yes, you can't just bull doze through a dig site and expect to preserve priceless treasures in tact.

Isn't it strange though..... that's how we approach the word of God. We pick at the bible like a worthless mound of dirt and expect to find God's treasures. We need to learn to patiently and carefully work our way through God's word so that when we find something that seems to be taking shape into something valuable, we can extract it correctly.

Well very few of us will actually attend a Bible College or similar institution, so what do you do? Thankfully the Bible is not only the most published book in the world, it is the most written about book as well. There are many study guides that you can read to help you interpret the word as well as millions of books that take topical themes and elaborate on them.

Take some time to do a little digging for yourself...... !
