Some where along life's journey we are bound to be confronted with the reality of dealing with terminal disease. At these times most people check out of life immediately and just go through the motions until they slip away.
It is my belief that God desires us to live out every moment we can with enthusiasm. It doesn't mean denying the pain, but it does mean making the most of the good moments and enjoying them to the fullest.
Some people may not be faced with a terminal illness but a condition caused by accident or genetics that leaves them bed ridden for either hours, days or even a lifetime. Yes we must believe God for healing and continue to pray for a miracle at every opportunity, but acceptance and making the most of every situation is vital to fulfilling God's plan for your life.
