Why is it taking so long?

Many times we come to God with prayers for things that are very precious to us. Then we wonder why and how it can take God so long to answer our prayers?

Well, let's think of it like a freight liner. A company will order stock from a foreign country. Due to the size of the order and the weight of the stock, it will need to be sent via ocean freight.

The process of getting stock from one country to another is a long and laborious one. Just the process of packing and loading the stock to get it on board ship can take days. Then comes the long haul as the container will be on a freight liner carrying hundreds of tons of cargo. The ship will spend many months on water, stopping at many ports en route before it arrived at the port for our country's client.

The offloading, inspection and transport of the goods to the clients premises can then take several days as well. At last it arrives at the client and can be offloaded and packed into the warhouse ready for sale. Shhhooe - that's a lot to get through.

Well I think the picture is clear. Here's the amazing part: the value of the shipment never changes! God hears hears our prayers and desires to give us the desires / values of our hearts, but there may be many ports of call before our precious cargo arrives.

Never give up on your prayers. Keep standing in faith and believe that God will answer you!
