Most of us know the story of the two men building houses. The one built on sand and when the storm came it destroyed the house. The other build on the rock and it withstood the storm.
Mostly that is taught as the way we should build our relationship with God. Build your relationship on God's word and it will stand. I'd like to take that a step further and talk about romantic relationships.
What are some of the building blocks for a strong relationship. Friendship: make sure you enjoy each others company. Communication: being able to communicate about everything openly. Common ground: focus on the things you have in common, and there should be a few. Your relationship with God: you should both have a strong relationship with God individually and then develop your relationship with him together.
There are many other strong building blocks, but for me, these would be the most important.
