It would seem to most people that worship should come naturally once we've commited our heart to Christ. In truth however our natural response to the presence of God leans more toward rebellion.
That's what Jonah was doing when he landed up in the belly of the fish. He heard God's voice clearly yet disobeyed and went in the other direction.
So don't be surprised when you hear the voice of God, or feel drawn to him if you suddenly find yourself running in the opposite direction.
Learning to yield to God's presence and call takes time, but as you surrender, you will soon hear his words of love as well as the words of gentle correction as he guides your life.
