It is interesting to note that in
China, India and Europe the development of printing techniques was
driven by the desire to spread religious instruction or art. The
desire for the knowledge of our deity and in our case, God, has
driven mankind to enhance our ability to communicate to larger
audiences and spread religious teachings through print copy.
Jesus told the disciples to go into all
the world and spread the gospel and he gave us the means to do it.
Had Paul not been locked in jail, the bulk of the New Testament may
not have been recorded as it is today. His words were then repeated
in copy after copy.
God has used every technological
evolution to communicate his love for mankind. The question is then,
what are we doing to help? Are we allowing God to use us to spread
his word to the people around us. Technology is great, but nothing
can beat the touch of flesh.
