I spent the day in FICA training. You
know, that annoying little task we all had to perform by going into
banks and other financial institutions with our ID and proof of
residence. Well it appears there is far more to the process than
meets the eye.
I had questioned why us as head office
staff needed to complete the course but I suppose it is because we
have access to all sorts of information. With the right information
we could be instrumental in stopping the global scourge of money
laundering.
As Christians there is another scourge
we can be instrumental in stopping. The spread of hopelessness and
despair that the devil likes to dish out at every opportunity. In
our global Christian domestic product, how much are we loosing by
allowing our fellow man to remain in this sorry state? Far more than
money. Think of the amazing lives we've lost to alcohol and drug
addiction alone.
