One of my all time favourite movie
opening scene's has to the the one from “Grumpy old men.” The
song playing? “We're having a heat wave....a tropical heat wave.”
Meanwhile its snowing outside, Lol!
Well all across the Southern Hemisphere
temperatures are soaring. Australia and now also in South Africa we
are experiencing scorching summer days with very little rain to cool
things down. I'm definitely seeing the results of that in my garden
with wilting flower and dried up leaves.
The same often applies in our spiritual
walk. The heat of pressure, deadlines, traffic, studies and many
other difficult situations have us panting for water. Luckily for us
there is water, plenty of it and we don't have to wait until we get
to an oasis to enjoy it.
What is this water? The living waters
of God's Spirit. How do we bring the wonderful waters of God's
presence into our lives in a moment? Through praise and worship.
When we praise God for His attributes and worship who He is, we can
be assured that His presence will engulf us in an instant and living,
fresh water will sooth our soul.
