On a day when we all celebrate love,
South Africa woke up to a big shock. One of our elite athletes had
been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of his girl
friend in the early hours of this morning.
It has been a very long time since I
have had my nose glued to the news but I just couldn't help watching
as the layers of this story which will most likely continue for a
long time still unfolded. Much of the news came as such a surprise
for those of us who knew him little. All we can do is sit by the
sidelines and watch.
Sometimes watching from the grandstands
we see things we don't like. I often wonder how our loved ones who
have passed must feel when we do things that hurt the heart of God?
We owe it to those who have gone before us and those who will come
behind us, to live lives that will honour to God.
