The one advantage of living in Johannesburg is that you really do get an opportunity to watch the seasons change. At the coast it's either hot or raining and winters are mild. Watching the leaves turn brown and then fall in autum is a warning that winter is on the way.
Then almost magically and before the rains even start, little green buds form and you know that spring is on the way.
In the same way that our earth has seasons, our spiritual lives go through seasons as well. How do we cope when things in life appear to not quite be going right?
This is the time to remember that in the same way the rains return in spring and feed the earth, so too our lives will get back to a place of fruitfullness and being renewed.
