Joints and marrow

Something that becomes abundantly clear any time you deal with bereavement, is the separation of Spirit, Soul and body. That person you knew before just isn't there any more. It is effectively like looking at an empty house.

The bible speaks about this in Hebrews 4 v 12: “For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

When we die, our spirit and soul leave together and go to God. The hope we have as Christians is that the bible tells us that when Christ returns, that the dead in Christ shall rise. If he made us from dust once before, he can do it again!
